Hydroplane roars down the straightaway at Pateros.

     Okanogan Country offers a variety of boating opportunities, from canoeing and rowboating, to water skiing and houseboating and from whitewater rafting to jet skiing. Spectators can take in hydroplane races in Pateros and Oroville, and the wacky bin boat races in Oroville.
     Some lakes have restrictions on water skiing for safety and noise reasons, and motor types to protect fish - they are restricted to electric motors at some lakes.
